About us

Plymouth County Development Council is a non-profit promotional agency established in 1972 to promote and advertise the recreational, industrial, agricultural, and historical advantages of Plymouth County. In the late 1990's, our name was changed to Plymouth County Development Council / Convention & Visitors Bureau to more accurately reflect our status as one of the states 16 Regional Tourist Councils and the cooperative marketing efforts that are increased due to this affiliation. PCDC/CVB is a regional organization that crosses town borders providing an impact far greater than the sum of its parts. It represents an effort not only to attract visitors and businesses to Plymouth County but also to develop and expand existing business resources. It is a cooperative effort, providing equal resources to both the relative giants of local industry and small business and non-profit organizations that contribute significantly to the region's economy and quality of life. A volunteer Board of Directors oversees PCDC/CVB.
