SATURDAY, JUNE 8 from 11am-4pm ANNUAL STRAWBERRY DAY at the Green Briar Nature Center and Jam Kitchen, 6 Discovery Hill Road (off Route 6A), East Sandwich. Enjoy fresh strawberries in a homemade dessert served in the historic Jam Kitchen and view old-fashioned jam making. Fee for dessert is $5. Sample jam tastings in the unique Mercantile; browse the used book sale and Thornton Burgess gallery; visit the nature center’s resident animals; and stroll the paths of the wildflower garden. 508-888-6870 www.thorntonburgess.org

FRIDAYS at 11:00am: CRITTER CAPERS at the Green Briar Nature Center, 6 Discovery Hill Road (off Route 6A), East Sandwich. Drop in for a half-hour visit with the naturalist and one of the nature center’s resident animals. Suitable for families with children ages 2 and up. Fee is $4 per person.
